Craig Mangano Business History

Mangano Company, Inc., has a long history of producing landmark projects ranging from single-family homes to elegant retail developments and prestigious multifamily projects.

The company was first formed in 1957 by current owner Craig Mangano’s father, Anthony. Under the senior Mangano’s leadership, the company grew dramatically, building shopping centers and nearly one million square feet of commercial properties throughout the state.

In 1978, the company was incorporated and restructured, with Anthony joined by sons Craig and Andy. Together they built upon the company’s strong success and built neighborhood commercial projects, single-family developments, office and commercial retail space. Since 1978, the Commercial Division developed an additional one million square feet of office and commercial retail space and the residential division developed more than 1,300 single-family homes.

In 1991, The Mangano Company, Inc., sold its assets to Centex Real Estate Corporation. Craig Mangano contracted to stay on with Centex for four years as president of Centex Commercial. During that time he was responsible for the development of more than two million square feet of office and commercial developments. These projects are proprietary and are not included in this corporate history.

Craig Mangano then joined forces with partners to form Westland Development, a limited liability corporation. Craig served as president for 17 years, before phasing out the LLC and reinvigorating Mangano Company, Inc.

Today, the company is solely owned and operated by Craig Mangano, president.

During his three-decade career in building and development, Mangano has developed over five million square feet of shopping centers and office space, one million square feet of office space and more than 2,500 multifamily and single-family homes.

The company’s resume of projects includes many with difficult entitlements or complex tenant interactions. All projects are positioned for initial and sustained quality and profitability in the marketplace.
